Yellow Bike Action

Yellow Bike Action (YBA) is a not-for-profit community bicycle repair collective, established as a bike share program in 2000. It maintains its outreach programs in part by accepting unused bicycles donated by the community, refurbishing them, and offering them to the community at an affordable cost YBA also offers affordable repairs. YBA is dedicated to creating community spaces with access to the tools, parts, and information that enable participants learn how to maintain and repair their own bicycles. The bike shop's open exchange program provides nearly 100 bikes for kids every year, and distributing lights, bells, and helmets at special events. The group’s main repair shop, room 124 at the Memorial Centre, is open to the public from Wednesday to Friday and on Sunday, 11:00am to 5:00pm.
